Ghana Premier Champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko has confirmed the departure of their attacking forward Fabio Gama.
The Brazilian failed to put pen to pepper to extend his contract for Asante Kotoko after two solid seasons with the club.
In an official statement by Asante Kotoko, the club said:
“Fabio Gama leaves Asante Kotoko after the expiration of his contract.
Fabio informed Management at the end of the season of his desire to explore other opportunities elsewhere after two successful seasons with the Club. He explained the personal and family reasons related to the decision and Management are respectful of the same. It was never an issue of the club’s inability to meet his demands as none was made.
We thank Fabio Gama and his family for many wonderful memories, a positive attitude, and a sense of professionalism during his stay.
Asante Kotoko wishes him the very best in his next adventure.”
Gama sat out at the beginning of the just-ended season due to injury and contributed less to Asante Kotoko winning the league title.
